When you enter the PVP arena you will receive a "star" that will be floating above your head. Those stars have two uses in Mabinogi:
a. Keeps you inside the PVP arena when time runs out.
b. Allows you to trade the stars with the NPC in the arena dungeon entrance for more arena coins.
Right now the coins have no value but allows you to enter the arena, but in the future there will be NPC's that will only accept thest arena coins as payment for an item inside their shop. Some of those items(cheap Mabinogi money) might even be very rare, mabinogi gold so might suggestion to your right now is to keep it and save it inside your pocket.
How do we get more stars? Will we be able to lose stars?
The only way for you to get more stars is to knock out people who has stars floating above their heads, if you are able to do that, you are able to steal a star from him or her. You can never steal than one star at a time. But remember, you can lose stars too, if someone is able to knock you out, they are eligible to steal a star from you.
